Abbey Cakes...

Just a cute story from Abbey this time... Grace was home sick with her Daddy... so Abbey was on her own at daycare, and alone with mommy for the commute. On the way home, it was a beautiful Chicago day. Blue skies and all. At a stop light, we were next to a lady in a fabulous red convertible. Abbey said to me... "Mommy! Whas dat way-dy doing?" I told her... "She's driving home". She said to me "NO... da wady is taking a BATH!"

LOL!!!

So yeah... I guess to a 2 1/2 year old... a "wady" driving a red convertible DOES look like she's taking a bath! Ah the things you see through the eyes of the young...

First "pro" hair cut!

Grace's first (professional) hair cut was this weekend. She really needed it... her fine baby hair was WILD. I thought we were going to have a hard time convincing the princess to cut her long hair... but she agreed when I told her we were going to the "beauty shop". LOL... We took her to one of those kids cut places... probably the first and the last... but totally worth it. She sat in a pink jeep, and sat there so still while the lady did her work. She looked so adorable. Aftewards, she got a "butterfly clip" and some "fairy dust" to polish the whole look off. I swear, she was walking on air the whole day.

It. Was. Presious.

Abbey was a bit irritated that she didn't get a haircut too... I wonder what her hair will look like if we wait until she's 4 and a few months to cut it!!!!

I'm back.

Okay... this is sad. I knew where this blog was, but was unable to sign on forever. Somehow, I figured it out today. So I'm back! Gosh... there are so many other Grace & Abbey stories, that I've missed posting about! I guess all I can do is start from right now, and be better about this.

First... Grace is 4, and very much a lady. I never imagined 4 would be so much fun... but it is. She's a very girly girl, and likes dress up, princesses, and all of that stuff. But the best part is the conversations we have. She has the most amazing sense of humor... the bad part is that she can make me laugh even when I'm mad at her. Not fair. She gets that from her dad. :OP

Abbey is talking more and more, and has learned how to be a proper 2 1/2 year old. The first thing you notice about her is that curly CURLY brown hair... gosh do we get the compliments on that. It's beautiful... she's a bit of a pistol... but can be so sweet at the same time. I can tell her no about something, and she giggles a bit and says "oh... sowwy mommy". She'll also BEG for things like Popsicles: "Pweeeeeesss Mommy????" She knows how to work it. LOL...

I'm so glad I found this place again! I'm going to post more... really... I mean it!
