... we have moved into then new house... and are loving it! I KNEW I wouldn't be good at this blog! Oh well... I'll keep trying!
Grace has been keeping us very busy... being in the midst of her terrible twos that is. Actually, she's really not THAT bad... but when she is tired and hungry look out! (Umm... kind of like... her daddy??? lol...) The latest funny story from her was while driving home one day. A few days earlier, Grace went to the zoo with her school... and I had been teaching her how to say different animal names. She was very excited to report to me that evening that she in fact had seen a "Polar Bear". A few days later... I was taking my Friday route home, and was passing by one of those cement yard ornament places. One of their neighbors, odviously a customer, had a HUGE Polar Bear. When I asked her if she saw it... she said a quiet "yeth". A few minutes later... Proving to me that she in fact had NOT seen the Polar Bear... she said "Mommy... look... a WALRUS!" Thank goodness I visited the bathroom before leaving work... otherwise, I might have had to pull over I was laughing so hard!!!
Abbey Cakes is getting so BIG! She is smiling more and more and has developed into quite a diva. She does NOT like to be walked away from... and likes it best to be held. And boy... you better belief it... she TELLS YOU! ;O) She is still totally enamored with her big sis! She has got first three words down. "Mom-mom, DaDa, and BaBa". So... she's brilliant... just like Grace! :O)

Star Shoes
Grace is turning into SUCH a little lady. This weekend, after a great "girls lunch" my friend Cindy and I wandered into a resale shop. I found (for a whopping $1.50) a pair of "Barbie Shoes" that Grace just HAD to have. No surprise that it was a big hit from our little two year old. The coolest thing was that hours later, she came up to me and say "ta too for de sues mommy"... I could have cried right then and there! I mean... she has thanked me before for lots of things right after the fact... but this was the first "Thank you" she ever thought up hours later... on her own! The girl knows how to win over her mommy!
Here she is in her "star" shoes!

Rear ended!
Last weekend... on our way to Kenny & Sarah's superbowl party... we were rear ended! Michael was driving... and we had both girls with us. We were basically at a stop... and Michael said "oh NO" since he saw it coming. It was a little Toyota celica or something... a total rust bucket. The driver of course had NO insurance. Uggh. He had is daughter in the back seat with her mom without a car seat!!! And... his brother with M/D in the front seat! Awful. Luckily no one was hurt. The worst part was after we saw the cops, and paramedic... I had fed Abbey a bottle... And could not burp her. When we were on our way again... she was HOWLING... unlike any other time... I immediately freaked! As it turned out... she was just very hot in the 100 blankets I had piled on her!
Anyway... glad it was just a fender bender. It sure scared me enough anyway!
(And... no... I Didn't TELL my mom!!!)

THREE babies!
Well... My darling husband hurt himself! I called him today at work... And he sounded strange... Come to find out that he sprained his ankle today! Looks like I will be taking care of THREE babies tomorrow! The poor guy! I'm not used to him being helpless... He usually is taking care of me. I ran to CVS to get a ACE bandage... And some Icy Hot. He's bummed... And feels like a fool. Tommorow should be interesting... and I think the rest of the week too. (But... I'm secretly happy that he still needs me!)
For the heck of it...
A friend of mine discovered this site... and I thought it would be a good idea to document the adorable stories that my husband and I witness daily with our two daughters. I've never blogged... and don't even know who will read this... but thought I would give it a try!
